In this letter, we investigate the performance of multiple-inputmultiple-output techniques in a vehicle-to-vehicle communication system. Weconsider both transmit antenna selection with maximal-ratio combining andtransmit antenna selection with selection combining. The channel propagationmodel between two vehicles is represented as n*Rayleigh distribution, which hasbeen shown to be a realistic model for vehicle-to-vehicle communicationscenarios. We derive tight analytical expressions for the outage probabilityand amount of fading of the post-processing signal-to-noise ratio.
